GRP-Organized “International Extensions to NRP” Panel held at 6NRP Workshop

The Global Research Platform (GRP) recently organized a panel session at the 6th National Research Platform (6NRP) Workshop, which was held January 28-30, 2025 at Qualcomm Institute, UC San Diego. The Panel, “International Extensions to NRP,” held Thursday, January 30, included several members of the GRP community explaining how NRP capabilities are being extended around the globe.

The National Research Platform (NRP) is the name of a set of national programs, facilities, and policies to interconnect, grow and expand computing and networking for the benefit of academic researchers. While NRP has a few international partners, GRP broadens global participation for those designing, implementing, and testing next-generation, distributed, network services and cyberinfrastructure for the benefit of data-intensive scientific applications.
